We have so many distractions in life. Some are responsibilities, some are opportunities, and some are crises. These distractions often pull us away from quality time with family, important tasks, and rob us of our joy. We find ourselves overwhelmed and not living the life we’d imagined or hoped for.
The same can happen to a church. The Church is made up of people, and just as we get distracted, the church body as a living expression of the gospel can become distracted by many things. Even good things…maybe mostly by good things. However, as Oswald Chambers said,”The good is always the enemy of the best.” If we are not careful, we can lose sight of why God brought us into existence.
